A warehouse in Caerphilly’s Pontygwindy Industrial Estate looks set to become the new home of a cheerleading club.

Nicola Colmer, of the Galaxy Space Athletic CIC, has been granted planning permission for the premises at the estate’s Unit 3E.

Caerphilly County Borough Council planning officers have approved the proposals for cheerleading and tumble classes to be held at the site, which will also include a changing room, reception area, and equipment storage.

The planners approved the application subject to several conditions, including noise and ventilation controls.

According to council documents, the new business will employ one full-time and seven part-time members of staff.
