Four new flats could be built in Caerphilly town centre, according to new plans submitted to the local authority.

Proposals show the new homes would be located to the rear of the commercial premises at 81 Cardiff Road.

There are currently two flats above the shopfronts, but the new plans by applicant Andreas Lazarou show another four flats could be built on a rear extension area.

The designs show each of the proposed flats would have one bedroom, as well as a lounge, kitchen and bathroom.

The four homes would also have a rear-facing balcony with window boxes, according to the plans.

The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0417/FULL.
