Two people have been released on bail as police continue to investigate an attempted robbery in Caerphilly.
The incident reportedly happened at a shop on St Cenydd Road, Trecenydd, at around 10.30am on Thursday December 18.
Police officers attended alongside specially trained firearms officers as a precaution.
A 49-year-old man from Cardiff and a 36-year-old woman from Caerphilly were arrested following the incident. They have now both been released on conditional bail, Gwent Police confirmed.
In a statement issued last week, Gwent Police said: “A man, who claimed to be in possession of a weapon and with a scarf covering his face, is believed to have entered the address at around 10.30am and threatened a staff member before leaving.
“There were no reports of any injuries, and nothing was taken from the store.”
Police confirmed no weapons were found following a search.
