A road in Bargoed is closed following a car crash, with emergency services at the scene.

The incident, which involved one car, happened on the roundabout between Angel Way and Station Road at around 12pm on Thursday March 5.

A Gwent Police spokesperson confirmed a silver Volkswagen Tiguan was involved, and the road is closed so the car can be safely removed.

Caerphilly Observer understands the driver has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the Welsh Ambulance Service are also at the scene.
