A new track for bikes, skateboards and scooters could be built in Nelson.

New plans submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council set out proposals for a new “pumptrack” at the Wern Park.

If approved, the asphalt circuit will be built on grassland next to the existing skate park, and contain small hills and banked turns for riders.

The application comes 20 years after the council approved the original skate park plans for Nelson.

It is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 26/0142/FULL.
