A record number of runners is expected at this year’s Caerphilly 10k, with the race now sold out for the second consecutive year.

The race is being held in Caerphilly town on Sunday May 10, with the Caerphilly 2k race taking place on the same day.

A total of 2,500 runners have registered for the 10k, with 1,200 signing up for the 2k.

Both races will start and finish on Crescent Road, but a new, flatter route will be used for the 10k this year.

A number of road closures will be in place during the event.
