New website for Caerphilly over 50s

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 12:09, Tuesday September 6th, 2011.

The Caerphilly 50+ Positive Action Partnership has launched a new website.

The site provides informal, easy to use games that encourage discussion, challenge stereotypes and raise awareness of the issues around dignity, respect and equality.

The games, which are designed for either social settings such as 50+ lunch clubs or as training tools for front line staff and volunteers.

The project, funded by the ‘Dignity in Care’ grants scheme, was a collaboration between Caerphilly’s 50+ Positive Action Partnership, Caerphilly County Borough Councils’ Equalities department and Social Services Directorate and Newport City Council’s Older People’s team.

For more information contact Mandy Sprague by emailing spragm@caerphily.gov.uk or by ringing 01443 864277.
