A limo hire company can now pick up passengers like they’re Hollywood stars after being granted a licence from Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Vegas Limousines, of Ynysddu, has become the first to get a limo licence after the council changed its policy to allow quirky hire vehicles.

In recent years there has been a trend amongst party-goers to hire transport with a difference with many going for stretch limos, old ambulances and decommissioned fire engines.

Vegas Limousines is run by Ashley and Terrence Dowling and the owners jumped at the chance to snap up the licence plate 007.

Ashley said the firm wanted to let people know they were “licensed to thrill”.
