The Tory candidate for Caerphilly in May’s Welsh Assembly elections has announced the dates of two public meetings as he seeks to draw his election battle lines.

Owen Meredith will be holding public meetings to introduce himself to voters and listen to their concerns and priorities. The first meeting will take place in Rudry Parish Hall on Thursday February 10 followed by a meeting in Caerphilly town centre on March 17.

Announcing the meetings, the 24-year-old candidate said: “I am delighted to be able to hold these meetings. This is a real opportunity for me to hear your views and answer your questions directly.

“My campaign will be focused on listening to your concerns and looking at positive ways to address them.

“There is a real choice in this election. We have a real chance for change. Please come along and share your views on making a positive change for Caerphilly.”

Meetings will take place on:

Thursday February 10, 7pm, Rudry Parish Hall, Rudry
Thursday March 17, 7pm, Conservative Club, Bartlett St, Caerphilly.

The meetings are open to anyone living in the Caerphilly constituency. To register your interest in attending, please email caerphilly@owenmeredith.co.uk or call 07816 156925 – registration is advisable, but not essential.

Mr Meredith will be battling against Plaid Cymru’s Ron Davies and Labour’s incumbent AM Jeff Cuthbert.
