New website for Crumlin social enterprise

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 08:00, Friday January 28th, 2011.

A social enterprise which supports people with severe learning disabilities in Caerphilly County Borough area has launched a new website.

Crafts for Everyone, which offers training and learning opportunities from its base in Crumlin, has received support from Communities 2.0 – the Welsh Assembly Government digital inclusion initiative – to set up the new site.

It’s hoped the website will help to generate income for the enterprise, particularly for its new commercial pottery ‘Ichthus Ceramics’.

Margaret Betty, Chief Executive of Crafts for Everyone, said: “Crafts for Everyone is very grateful to the Communities 2.0 initiative for supporting us to develop our new website.

“The site provides us with an effective tool with which to showcase the services we provide to marginalised people. We are very excited about the e-marketing aspect of the site which will enable us to reach a much wider range of customers which, in turn, will generate additional income for the company.”
