Caerphilly McDonald’s applies for 24 hour trading

A McDonald’s drive-through restaurant has applied for permission to open 24 hours, seven days a week.

The Crossways branch of the American fast food chain, in Caerphilly, wants to serve drivers between 11pm and 6am. The main part of the restaurant is to remain closed.

An application to lengthen the trading hours for an initial 12 month period has been lodged with Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Yeah! I love burgers at 3am. And think of the boost to the local economy too!

    Sue-

Thats what Caerphilly needs alright, a KFC shed.

You are right again to suggest it is built as far out of town as possible, Newport, Cardiff, even Bristol so far as I am concerned, your suggestion should do wonders for the survival of those shops in the town struggling to survive whilst out of town shoping is thriving. Well done!!!

We are told that we are having another pub in the town, a Wetherspoons, perhaps they could do a deal with Colonal Saunders and franchise his artery busting, cholesterol inducing mind boggling fodder, there would`nt be any need then for our Town and County Councillors to bother their minds with such complicated planning applications and they could all go back to sleep.
