Well said John. This assessment centre is a white elephant, I have yet to meet anyone, apart from a few politicians, that have a good word for it. Even the staff I have spoken to are not happy at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.

I spoke, tonight, to a man who was admitted there with chest pains. He told me that him and another patient were given blood tests. To get the results staff had to order four taxis to take samples to the Royal Gwent during the course of a single night. The room he was in was large but the remote for the TV had been stolen. A check on several empty rooms revealed all the remote controls were also missing. Nurses also had to search for a pillow for him, there was none on the bed he was assigned. He said "Give me a bed on a ward at the Miners any day!"
