Abertridwr man Trevor Elias still missing after two months

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 08:30, Thursday June 7th, 2012.

Trevor Elias has been missing for two months from his Abertridwr home

Gwent Police is re-appealing again for information about a 77-year-old Abertridwr man missing for two months.

Trevor Elias was reported missing from his home on Saturday April 7 and has not been seen since. Police and residents have carried out extensive searches of the surrounding area and the Brecon Mountain Rescue team were even called in to help.

Mr Elias is described as being 6ft tall, of very thin build, and has brown short hair. He wears glasses.

Inspector Paul Staniforth said: “We are working on this missing person enquiry in great detail to establish Trevor’s whereabouts.

“We will continue to work closely with the community, who have been only too happy to assist us.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to Trevor’s whereabouts to call us on 101.”

Since Mr Elias’ disappearance, the Abertridwr community has rallied together with a candlelit vigil and the wearing of yellow ribbons for him.

They have also distributed posters and leaflets featuring Mr Elias in the hope someone has seen him.
