News | Richard Gurner | Published: 10:00, Wednesday August 15th, 2012.

A 20-year-old man was pushed to the ground and kicked by three other men who then stole his mobile phone.

Police are appealing for information following the mugging in Bargoed which happened at around 6am on Sunday July 15. Gwent Police has only now issued the appeal.

The 20-year-old man was walking along the public pathway which leads from Bedwellty Road, Bargoed, to New Tredegar when he was approached by three men.

One of the attackers asked to use the victim’s mobile phone and when the man didn’t respond the three pushed him to the ground, kicked him to the back and stole his Blackberry curve 9360 mobile phone.

They made off in the direction of New Tredegar.

The three men are described as being white, of skinny build and clean shaven. They were aged between 18 and 20 years. The man who spoke to the victim was a bit shorter than the other two and was wearing a black Adidas hooded jumper with three white stripes down the arms.

Officers are investigating and appeal for anyone with information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
