Caerphilly County Borough Remembrance Services 2012

This weekend, people across Caerphilly County Borough will pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in military conflict.

Below are some of the events taking place:

  • Pontllanfraith Council Offices – Saturday November 10 at 1.30pm
  • Oakdale – Sunday November 11, 10.40am – Parade from Post Office followed by service and laying of wreaths at Oakdale Memorial at 11am
  • Maesycwmmer – Sunday November 11, 12.30pm, Service and laying of wreaths at Maesycwmmer Community Garden, The Crescent
  • Caerphilly Town – Sunday November 11, 2.15pm – Parade from St Martin’s Church, Caerphilly followed – service and laying of wreaths at Caerphilly War Memorial, the Twyn at 3pm
  • Blackwood War Memorial, Pentwyn Avenue – Sunday November 11 at 11am
  • Cefn Fforest War Memorial – Sunday November 11 at 11am
    Machen War Memorial, Newport Road next to Spar – Sunday November 11 at 11am
  • Bedwas War Memorial, Newport Road near Parklands Care Home on Sunday November 11 at 11am
  • Trethomas War Memorial, Newport Road on Sunday November 11 at 11am
    Llanbradach Cenotaph, Park Road on Sunday November 11 at 11am
  • Caerphilly County Borough Council has said senior officials from the local authority will be present at the various Remembrance parades.
