Six-year-old Reuben Kala-Palmer, a pupil at Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Caerfilli, scooped top prize in an online competition about his favourite book.

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s catering service runs competitions each term on their website for primary pupils to enter.

Reuben answered the question “What is your favourite book and why?” by answering “Bettle in the Bathroom because I love my Mum doing the actions.”

He was presented with his prize by the council’s catering mascot Cati the Croc at a recent special assembly.
