Body found in Mornington Meadows, Caerphilly

A body of a man in his 50s has been found near Mornington Meadows, in Caerphilly, police have confirmed.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said the force received a call at 4.42pm today (Wednesday) following the discovery of a body in undergrowth in Dol Yr Eos, Mornington Meadows.

Officers and paramedics attended and the man, who has yet to be formally identified but is believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead.

Officers investigating are currently treating the death as unexplained pending the results of a post mortem. They have sealed off an area where the man’s body was found.
