River of Light 2013 workshops

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 08:54, Wednesday November 27th, 2013.

The River of Light Parade, Caerphilly County Borough Council’s longest running Christmas event is to return on Thursday December 19 at 6.30pm.

River of Light Lantern Making Workshops will take place at Caerphilly Leisure Centre in the lead up to the parade to give residents the chance to make a lantern to display during the parade.

The free workshops begin on Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1 between 10am and 5pm and will continue over the weekends of December 7 and 8, and December 14 and 15.

Lantern makers will be on hand to help visitors create a unique and special lantern of their very own. Please note that there is a cost of £1 if visitors would like a light for their lantern.
