A graffiti hot spot has been given a makeover by school pupils.

Children from Trinant Primary School, working with local artist Andy O’Rourke, have created a mural on the road-facing wall of the Premier store in Trinant.

The wall has been plagued in the past by abusive and obscene graffiti.

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Community Safety Team partnered with the school, residents, police and councillors Keith Lloyd and Andrew Lewis and Gwent Police to create the piece of public art.

It is hoped the artwork will deter antisocial behaviour.
