A man has been charged with criminal damage, after an eight hour siege in Lansbury Park, Caerphilly, which resulted in 60 homes being without gas and electricity.
Police arrived at Buxton Court just before 4pm on Thursday October 9, after reports of a man threatening to self harm inside a property.
A risk of fire saw gas and electricity supplies to 60 houses cut off to protect properties, but supplies were resumed with no damage to surrounding houses.
A 39-year-old man was arrested and has since been charged.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Following an incident at Buxton Court Lansbury Park on Thursday October 9, a 39-year-old man has been charged with affray, criminal damage and threats to commit criminal damage.”
