Caerphilly writer wins ITV’s This Morning novel competition

An aspiring young novelist who began her writing career with a Caerphilly-based group has scooped a top television prize.

Megan Hodson, 21, a former member of Caerphilly Young Writer’s Squad has won the ‘Be A Best Seller’ competition hosted by ITV show This Morning.

Her winning novel, When We Get There, was selected from 4,000 applicants.

Megan will now go on a six-month writing course with literary agent Curtis Brown, which will also represent her in the industry.

Megan’s passion for writing began at Caerphilly Young Writer’s Squad at the age of 10.
