Man wanted after knifepoint robbery in Hengoed

Police are hunting a knife-wielding robber after he stole cash from a shop till and threatened a worker.

The knifepoint robbery happened at Graig Stores, Hengoed Road, Hengoed at around 1pm today, Sunday January 11.

A man, described as being white, between 20 and 25 years old, approximately 5ft 4 in tall of medium build with a scarf across his face entered the shop and threatened the shop assistant. He spoke with a local accent.

No one was injured and the man escaped with a sum of money from the till.
