Mystery winner from Caerphilly comes forward to claim £1.8m lottery jackpot

News | | Published: 08:50, Tuesday January 13th, 2015.

The hunt for Caerphilly’s lottery mystery millionaire is over after the winner of a £1.8 million jackpot came forward to claim their prize.

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of The National Lottery, has announced that the £1,896,064 jackpot prize from the Lotto draw on November 22, 2014, has now been claimed.

Last week Llanbradach lottery winner Alun Jones joined in some promotional activity to help track down the winner.

The lucky ticket was bought in Caerphilly County Borough and matched all six numbers in the Lotto draw on Saturday November 22, 2014 – the special Lotto draw to celebrate 20 years of The National Lottery in which 20 new millionaires were also created on the Lotto raffle.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win – what a great way to start 2015. It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-changing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”

Unless the winner of the jackpot opts to take full publicity, Camelot will not release their names.

Obviously, if you buy a lottery ticket you need to check it very Caerphilly!
Anyway, if you’re interested, I have made up a little free and just-for-fun page which generates your own personal quick pick numbers. Who knows, it might work – you just never know your luck… As I say, it is completely free and just a bit of fun, so look out for VillaLibra Lucky Numbers if you want to see if you can locate it for yourself.
