A Caerphilly-born sailor has been honoured by Royal Navy top brass for his work.
Lieutenant Steven Andrews has been presented with the Colley Sword – which recognises excellence and hard work.
Starting his career as a Royal Marine, Lt Andrews transferred into the Medical Assistant branch of the Royal Navy and later trained as a radiographer.
Having then served in a variety of roles he decided to seek a commission as a Medical Services Officer.
He is currently second in command of Medical Squadron of the Commando Logistic Regiment of the Royal Marines.
