The National Mining Memorial in Senghenydd has been given £5,000 from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT).
The money will go towards the employment of Karen Richards, Project Coordinator of the Aber Valley Heritage Group, which runs the Memorial Garden and Museum. The CRT was one of the key funders when the project was launched two years ago, with a £10,000 grant.
Wayne Thomas, Welsh Trustee of the CRT said: “We are really proud to be involved in this project, and it’s good to see the Aber Valley Heritage Group’s commitment to a policy of continual improvement.”
