Volunteers wanted for Comic Relief community clean-up in Caerphilly town

News | | Published: 09:00, Thursday March 12th, 2015.

A community clean-up in aid of Comic Relief will take place tomorrow, March 13, in Caerphilly town.

The event is being organised by Louise Kirton, the new Morgan Jones ward litter champion, in conjunction with Gwent Police, Keep Wales Tidy and local councillors James Pritchard and Shayne Cook.

Ms Kirton said: “The clean-up in aid of Comic Relief is all about raising money for charity whilst improving our local area.

“We want as many people as possible to come and join us (fancy dress optional) for what should be a fun day. This is not about doing the council’s work for them. Its about making a local difference.”

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Piccadilly Pub at 1pm where equipment will be handed out.

An online page has been set up for people to donate to The Litter Busters.
