An anonymous donor has gifted Machen Rugby Club a £1,000 defibrillator.
Sharon Owen, Chief Executive of charity Welsh Hearts, presented the defibrillator to the community recently.
Ms Owen said: “I met with the donor, who has asked not to be named, and was absolutely amazed when they offered this extremely generous donation which will ultimately save lives.
“We are inundated with requests to fund defibrillators and unfortunately there are not enough of them in Wales or trained people to give victims the best chance of survival during those few critical minutes.”
