RSPCA appeal after dead dog found in Penyrheol

News | | Published: 14:00, Tuesday April 21st, 2015.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after the body of a dead dog was found in Penyrheol.

The RSPCA was called by a member of the public following the discovery at the bottom of Bowls Lane on Thursday April 16.

It is unknown what happened to the dog and it is not clear how the dog died, as it is unknown whether the injuries were caused before death or from animal predation.

RSPCA inspector Selina Chan said: “We are appealing for information to see if anybody knows anything about this dog which has been found with extreme injuries.

“It looks like it may have been eaten by another animal, but we don’t know what has happened. We have no suspects at present.

“The dog has no microchip so we can’t identify the owner.”

Anyone who may have information about this incident should contact inspector Chan through the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.

Know, where`s the `Community` of Penyrheol to help solve this mystery? Social Media sites should solve it. But knowing the breed would help people identify the owners of a missing dog.
