The RSPCA is appealing for information after a member of the public witnessed a cat in a box being thrown out of a car.
Reporting the incident to the RSPCA, the member of the public said they were driving over Gelligaer Common towards Bargoed at around 10pm on Sunday May 3, when the incident took place.
The caller said they pulled over to let a navy blue car pass with a man aged approximately 35 to 40 driving. When they passed, a box was thrown out of the back window onto the caller’s bonnet which burst open. A black and white female cat fell out.
RSPCA inspector Sophie Daniels said: “This must have been a very shocking incident for the caller to witness. It is was lucky that the cat was not injured from the box being thrown from the car.
“The cat has been taken to a veterinary surgery for an examination and sadly appears to be blind. She also has a lump on her neck.
“The cat doesn’t have a microchip so we can’t trace her owners.
“We are appealing for information to try and find more about this incident and to also try and track down her owners.”

The Cretins who did this are Inane odious tossers, catch them, blindfold `em box `em up and toss them off Hengoed Viaduct, that should give them something to think about, on the way down that is, no problem after they hit the floor.
