A 24-year-old Rhymney woman has been arrested and charged after a speeding car failed to stop for police in Markham.
Officers saw a silver Vauxhall Astra speeding along the A4048 in Markham. Several attempts were made to stop the car in Argoed and Blackwood before it came to a halt in Oakdale.
The incident took place at 1am on Friday May 29.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “A 24-year-old woman from Rhymney has been charged with driving without due care and attention, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis).
“She has been bailed to appear at Caerphilly Magistrates Court on June 11.”
