Welsh language broadcaster S4C will be hosting a ‘Viewer’s Evening’ at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni, Caerphilly town, on Tuesday June 16.
Following the success of the Urdd Eisteddfod 2015 in Caerphilly, there will be an opportunity for viewers to express their views on S4C programmes and services as well as discuss what they would like to see on the channel in the future.
The summer schedule includes a term of programmes about Patagonia to coincide with the Welsh landing 150 years ago, live coverage of some of Wales’ largest festivals, including the Royal Welsh and the National Eisteddfod and live coverage of the Tour de France.
The autumn schedule is full of highlights, including live games and highlights from the Rugby World Cup, the documentary DNA Cymru and drama series including Y Gwyll and 35 Diwrnod.
Ian Jones, S4C Chief Executive will be joined by Huw Jones, Chair of the S4C Authority and rugby referee and popular presenter, Nigel Owens at the school’s Gwyndy campus on Pontygwindy Road.
Mr Jones said: “The Urdd Eisteddfod in Caerphilly was an example of how much enthusiasm and interest there is locally in the Welsh language and culture.
“S4C had a fantastic response at the S4C Pavilion, with thousands visiting to enjoy the Cyw and Ysbyty Hospital shows for children. During the viewer’s evening, there will be opportunities to discuss S4C’s services for children and young people, as well as various series for the whole family.
“We are looking forward to hearing your views and opinions about our programmes and any other elements of S4C services.”
