A re-dedication ceremony was held at Aberbargoed Cenotaph on June 7.
Representatives of the 203 Welsh Field Hospital were among official guests and residents who paid tribute to fallen servicemen and women.
Standard bearers from the Royal British Legion framed the cenotaph and the crowd fell silent for the laying of the wreaths as an act of remembrance.
Armed Forces Champion Cllr Alan Higgs, said: “This special event is one of many things that we have going on to show our support to personnel both past and present.”
