A new playground in Trelyn, Fleur-de-Lys has been officially opened by children of the local community.
Deputy Leader of Caerphilly Borough Council, Councillor Dave Poole, who is the local representative for the ward, has championed the project for a number of years.
He said: “I would like to thank all the local children and parents who wrote to me asking for local play facilities, their enthusiasm for this project has culminated in the provision of an excellent facility that will support healthy and active lifestyles.They all should be very proud.”
The playyround project was funded from a number of sources including finance from a new housing development, the Welsh Government and Caerphilly County Borough Council.
