Thousands flock to Ystrad Mynach’s Christmas fair

Thousands of visitors descended on Ystrad Mynach for their festive fair on November 21.

Bedllwyn Road and Oakfield Street were filled with an abundance of food and craft stalls, offering visitors the chance to buy unique and bespoke gifts.

Santa was also on hand to deliver Christmas gifts to children and Cefn Hengoed Majestics leading visitors to the Siloh Church for the annual Christmas lights switch-on.

The tree, donated by D. Emlyn Lloyd Ltd, was lit up ready to embrace the festive season.
Tracy from Gaffaccino’s coffee shop said: “What an amazing event. It was so well organised with a great selection on offer. We can’t wait for next year.”

Cllr Ken James, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Sustainable Development said: “I am absolutely delighted with the fantastic attendance that Ystrad Mynach Festive Fair received.

“The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all and it has truly kick-started the festive period within the Caerphilly Borough.”
