River of Light workshops are set to take place to create lanterns for the annual River of Light Parade, which takes place on December 17.

The parade sets off from Caerphilly Railway Station at 6.30pm and will be Disney-themed.

The lantern workshops are free and the whole family is welcome to attend.

There will be helpful lantern-makers on hand at each workshop, which take place on December 5, 6, 12 and 13 at Caerphilly Leisure Centre.

The workshops run from 10am to 5pm and visitors are encouraged to make as unique a lantern as possible in preparation for the parade.
