St David’s Hospice offer a choice of charity challenges

News | | Published: 10:00, Monday March 14th, 2016.

St David’s Hospice Care is holding a series of challenging events, and want people to get involved.

On Sunday April 17, crack out the lycra and helmets for the Tour de Gwent Bike Ride.

Featuring three picturesque routes which cater for all abilities, there is the choice of a 77-mile, 37.5-mile or 20.5-mile circuit.

Starting and finishing at Caerleon Cricket Club, there will be a village festival to welcome riders over the finish line, with a barbecue, live music, licensed bar and family activities available.

If readers prefer their feet firmly on the ground, the Three Peaks of Wales Challenge will surely get the heart racing.

Taking on three of Wales’ most iconic peaks in Pen-y-Fan, Cadair Idris and Snowdonia, the route covers a massive 32km, with 2863 metres of ascension, all within 15 hours.
