A Caerphilly-based tech company has been named as one of the 12 leading digital firms in Wales.
Noddlepod, based at the Welsh Innovation Centre for Enterprise, has created software for groups of people to share their knowledge, support and to learn from each other.
The selected ‘digital dozen’, including Noddlepod, will all be invited to speak at the Digital 2016 conference, being held next month at Newport’s Celtic Manor.
The event will showcase new digital innovations and skills through interactive workshops, talks and panel debates.
David Warrender, Chief Executive of organisers Innovation Point, said: “Wales is a serious contender in the UK’s digital scene and the 2016 Digital Dozen will allow us to showcase some of the brightest minds working right now to make this a reality.
“We received an unprecedented number of applications, and have carefully considered each one, to identify those which highlight some the most creative technical minds working in Wales today.”
Ollie Gardener, Chief Executive and co-founder of Noddlepod, said: “We’re really excited to be included in the DigitalDozen – and we’re in great company too.
“Noddlepod’s focus is on how digital can help learning, knowledge sharing and mutual support.
“While the core of our business is an online platform, true digital transformation requires more than just technology. New work practices and behaviour change is hard and so we work closely with our customers to understand and support this wider context.
More than anything I am excited about how we can utilise technology to make business more human.”
