The Aber Valley Carnival returns to Senghenydd this weekend.

This Saturday (July 22), Senghenydd Rugby Club will play host to the popular community carnival, which features local dance groups, live music, a sweet shop, petting zoo, and many more attractions for all the family.

At noon, there will be a fancy costume march through the village via Commercial Street, so get rummaging for the best fancy dress.

Entrance fee costs £2 for adults, £1 for children. Children under the age of three are free.

Money raised will go towards the YMCA, the Welsh National Mining Memorial and Universal Colliery Memorial Garden, and the Senghenydd Youth Drop-In Centre (SYDIC).
