A youth project based in Blackwood is holding an open day on Tuesday, October 3 between 2pm and 8pm.

Forming part of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Youth Service, The Basement is a free information and support project for young people aged between 11 and 25.

As part of the open day, special guest Scott McGlynn author of ‘OUT’, social blogger, celebrity interviewer and LGBT role model will be available for a meet-and-greet at 6pm.

Young people will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments, meet The Basement team and take a look around the centre, and find out the type of activities The Basement has to offer.

For more information email thebasement@caerphilly.gov.uk or call 01495 235511.
