Machen Cricket Club, founded in 1848, play in the South East Wales Cricket League and is on the lookout for new members.
Chairman Michael Griffiths said: “To continue this history we are looking for cricketers of all ages to support our current first and second teams.
“Last year we were indebted to several of our old stalwarts, who are over 60-years-old and helped to fulfil our fixtures.
“Obviously we need some younger blood.”
