Caerphilly Food Festival is set to return

The annual Caerphilly Food Festival is set to return to Caerphilly town centre for an eighth time on Saturday, May 11.

More than 100 food, craft and activity stalls are expected to be set up for the event, which will start at 9am and finish at 5pm.

Cardiff Road will be transformed into a marketplace offering a wide variety of food, including cake, bread, pizza, crepes, cheese and chutneys, as well as alcohol.

Also, a farmers’ market will be set up near the cenotaph and a cheese market will be based near the visitors’ centre, opposite Caerphilly Castle.

There will also be cookery demonstrations and street performers at the event.

Cardiff Road will be closed to vehicles, with some nearby side streets also likely to close.

Parking will be available at the pay and display Crescent Road car park, which is near the town centre.
