Caerphilly Castle played host to a feast of live music this month with a series of five events held at the historic 13th century venue.

The Stranglers and The Ruts DC kicked off the proceedings on July 5, while Public Service Broadcasting followed them on July 6.

The Zutons then played the following week on July 12, followed by Black Stone Cherry on July 13. The concerts were rounded off by Groove Armarda on July 14.

Promoters Orchard Live said the events attracted 10,000 over the two weekends.

The iconic 13th century castle began hosting live music events in 2016 when Ocean Colour Scene and Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley held two concerts on consecutive nights.

Last year The Beat featuring Ranking Roger, The Levellers, The Bootleg Beatles, Thunder, and The Selector all played there.
