Two men have been arrested following what police described as a “disturbance” at a house in Caerphilly town.
Armed police were called at around 3pm on Sunday, May 10, to the house on Nantgarw Road near to the Caerphilly Players’ building.
A 29-year-old man and a 69-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of affray.
The road was closed until around 5pm with a significant police presence at the scene – including officers in riot gear.
Chief Inspector Ryan Francis tweeted that police negotiators and armed police attended.
A statement from Gwent Police said officers were called to a report of a “disturbance” and that no-one was injured during the incident.
It said: “We can confirm we are not looking for anyone else connected to this incident but we appealing for any witnesses or any individuals who may have any information relating to this, to please contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting log reference: 2000161289.”
