Three drug dealers who “flooded our streets with drugs to line their own pockets” have been jailed.
Rhys Davies, 34, of Swallow Drive, Fleur de Lis, was jailed for nine years and four months.
He pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of cocaine (class A), as well as possession with intent to supply heroin (class A) and amphetamine (class B).
Charlotte Hathaway, 34, of Penmaen Close, Cefn Hengoed, was jailed for five years and 11 months. She pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of cocaine and allowing heroin to be stored in her house.

Meanwhile, 54-year-old Paul Bowley, also of Penmaen Close, pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of cocaine and was sentenced to two years and eight months in jail.
The trio, who appeared at Newport Crown Court on Friday, November 13, were caught after police carried out a raid at Hathaway’s property.
All three were ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £190. The victim surcharge goes towards the Victim and Witness General Fund, which provides funding for victim services.
Detective Constable Sean Meyrick, of Gwent Police, welcomed the sentences and said: “All three defendants were supplying class A drugs within our communities, which has undoubtedly ruined numerous lives.
“The trio had flooded our streets with drugs to line their own pockets.”
DC Meyrick added: “During this investigation, not only did we uncover and dismantle a lucrative cocaine business, we also recovered significant amounts of amphetamine and heroin, which would have undoubtedly made it onto the streets of Gwent – adding to the misery and destruction of many lives.

“I hope these sentences deter anyone thinking of getting involved in such criminality. We will continue our efforts in the fight against drugs and organised crime and I encourage members of the public to help us.
