In their final Adran South game of the season, Cascade Women ran out 9-0 victors over Caldicot Town at Ystrad Mynach’s Centre for Sporting Excellence.

Although the league was wrapped-up a few weeks prior with Briton Ferry topping the table without so much as even drawing a game, Cascade look good to claim second spot.

They finished their league campaign with an emphatic 9-0 win over sixth place Caldicot – good preparation ahead of their cup semi-final against Barry Town on Sunday March 24.

It took 15 minutes for the hosts to find the breakthrough, but it was Annaliese Lewis who got her first of two on the afternoon.

Erin Parry soon scored her first of the afternoon, closely followed by Chrystalla Moreton to make it 3-0 after 23 minutes.

Lewis then grabbed her second before a quickfire Ellis Lunn brace made it 6-0 at the break.

Parry had her second shortly after the restart to make it seven, the last goal for quite some time.

It took until the 80th minute before Cascade would find the net again – substitute Sophie Whittle with the goal.

Abbie Davies scored the ninth and final goal to cap off a brilliant day for Cascade.
