Caerphilly County Borough Council has announced all football matches due to be played in Caerphilly tomorrow (Saturday January 11), have been postponed.

The council said it is unable to paint the lines needed for the matches to go ahead due to frozen pitch surfaces.

It’s likely referees would have postponed games regardless as temperatures are due to drop below freezing overnight and into tomorrow morning.

The council added that matches due to be played on Sunday January 12 will be assessed nearer to the time.
