Oakdale mini rugby results: September 15

MINI RUGBY: Sunday September 15 saw Oakdale under eights host opponents Treharris at the Rec.

William Morgan scored the first try of the morning, making it 1-0 to Oakdale. Treharris responded quickly with a try to draw things level.

The Dale restarted the game and some good support work saw William Davey score before the half time whistle, putting things at 2-1 in Oakdale’s favour.

Treharris started the second half and shortly after got the equaliser.

Despite good play from Treharris, The Dale managed to pull ahead and seal a 6-4 victory.
The second game of the morning saw Oakdale take on Machen under eights.

Oliver Cooke opened the scoring for Oakdale. Machen restarted but fumbled the ball resulting in a knock on.
William Morgan took full advantage of this to run the full length of the pitch to score, 2-0. The first third ended with the scores at 4-3 to Oakdale.

Oliver Cooke put Oakdale two in front, but Machen responded with a try despite a tag from James Williams, making things 5-4.

The final third saw a flurry of tries from both things, with the final score at 11 – 9 to Oakdale.
