Gerwyn Price cruised to a 7-0 win on Judgement Night in Premier League Darts on Thursday evening (August 27).
Price, from Markham, beat Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena in an 11-minute blitz to secure safety and book his place in the second round of the competition.
Having beaten Gary Anderson 7-1 the night before, Price needed to win just one leg to maintain his place in the competition.
Price, 35, said: “I never thought I’d go out today and it was going to be very unlucky for me not to go through, but after I won a leg I knew I was safe.
“I played a bit better today and I’m happy to win again.
The Iceman added: “Jermaine was scoring okay in patches but was nowhere near his best, and I punished him. I felt good but it’s always easy when you’re scoring well and someone’s two or three darts behind.
“I took my chances and that’s all that matters. I’ve got a chance now to get into the top four and hopefully it keeps going in the right direction.”
The match, which was held in Milton Keynes, was played without any spectators present due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.
Price is currently sixth in the Premier League table, having won four, drawn two and lost three matches.
Price will take on top-of-the-table Glen Durrant on Friday night (August 28).
