Improved bus service for Newbridge

Bus company Stagecoach has announced changes to its services between Newbridge and Blackwood.

From January 23, passengers from Pantside, Newbridge, will be able to travel through to Blackwood without changing buses.

Stagecoach is combining Routes 5 and N1 into a new service operating between Blackwood, Oakdale, Croespenmaen, Crumlin, Newbridge and Pantside.

Fundraising campaign hits £17K for Newbridge boy’s operation to walk

A campaign to raise £60,000 for an operation to help a seven-year-old Newbridge boy to walk has raised £17,000.

Curtis Bowditch was born 15 weeks premature, is profoundly deaf and has cerebral palsy.

Due to his cerebral palsy he has to use a walking frame for short distances and use wheelchair for longer distances.
