A Nelson pub’s owners have applied to build an extension and provide more space for diners, as well as new toilets.
Mark King, of The Lord Nelson Inn, on Commercial Street, hopes to add the extension to the rear of the premises, in part of the pub’s existing beer garden.
Plans submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council show the new area – if built – would include a private finding area, separate toilets, and a baby changing room.
The rest of the pub would remain unchanged under the proposals, and part of the beer garden would be retained.
According to the planning documents, a new rear entrance porch would also be built at the pub.
The application is currently under consideration, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 26/0275/FULL.
